What Every Christian Should Know About the Islamic Faith

Imagine your 10-year-old daughter, still carrying that bright future that you have envisioned for her. However, what if all that bliss goes up in smoke one night after a group of grown men knock on your door and demand to have your child daughter. They tell you that one of the men has come to have her as his wife and you have no say in that because they are welding AK47 machine guns. With a bleeding heart, you hand in your princess, ignoring the cries of your wife as the armed men carry her kicking and screaming into the dark. Even worse, you wake up tomorrow to see a television broadcast of a group of young girls, inside a cage, being paraded in a pickup truck, apparently accused of rebelling against Allah, awaiting the worst of all fates – being burned to death. Unfortunately, your daughter is among them.

Just in case you didn't know, this is a true story that happened in 2016 in Iraq. There were 19 of those Yazidi girls. Just one among many atrocious crimes committed under the banner of the prophet Muhammad religion.

Muslim Ideology

I did mention one of these days that Islam is reported to be the fastest-growing world religion, mostly in India and Africa. Most of us who live in Christian-dominated countries have somehow accepted the story that Muslims are part of a mere religion just like Christianity. This is because Muslims are good at presenting smiling faces in places where they are a minority e.g. southern Africa, while the truth of who they are is evident in predominantly Muslim countries such as Afghanistan. The reality is that Islam is not really a religion, as it claims to be, but it is a ruthless political system, whose goal is to turn the world upside down in violence and terrorism.

From a doctrinal perspective, do not believe the lie that the Christian faith and Islam are the same thing – “just cousins in faith.” They are not. For a start, Muslims vehemently deny the death and resurrection of Jesus; the very backbone of the Christian Gospel. Keep that in mind.

Prophet Muhammad is apparently the founder of Islam. His teachings and life are what the Qur’an is based on, written about 20 years after his death. He is apparently the example of marrying children (he allegedly married a 6-year-old) and also the origin of the “convert or die” policy.

Islam is currently divided into 2 camps, the Shia and the Sunni (disagreement on the rightful successor of Muhammad). The Shias are the minority (Iran, Yemen & Iraq), while the Sunni make up the majority of the Muslim population (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan and the entire North Africa).

When a country becomes predominantly Muslim, for example, Syria, it redefines and merges its politics and constitution into the Islamic doctrine. As a result, anyone who is suspected of breaking the Sharia law, insulting Prophet Muhammad, for example, is arrested by the state police, tried in the court of law and sentenced like a criminal, either by life imprisonment or immediate execution. That is a normal day in Afghanistan.

Islam is a dangerous, cruel system that is responsible for 95% of the world's terrorism. Think about this: ISIS, Boko Haram, Al-shabaab, Taliban, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi all have one thing in common: the Muslim faith. Consider this again: when a country becomes an Islamic state, it immediately loses its security and peace. Lebanon, Pakistan and Libya are a few examples. One brother has noted that Muslims are not happy in Gaza, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, and Somalia. A Muslim living with a Jew is a problem. A Muslim with a Christian, problem. A Muslim with an unbeliever, problem. A Muslim with a Hindu, problem, a Muslim with another Muslim, big problem. The only places where they are apparently happy and peaceful is in Christian-dominated countries where they are the minority.

Islam thrives on fear and hate. Grace, mercy, kindness, patience and forgiveness are not part of their syllabus. The Islamic law is hard for anyone to bear. For a start, you are forced to be a Muslim or face the wrath of a machete knife. When you convert, you are required to pray 3 to 5 times a day without fail. When requested, you must be ready to carry out suicide bombings in the name of serving Allah to attain automatic heavenly entry where you will rewarded with 70 virgins. Women are basically nonexistent beings that have neither right nor opinion on anything. They must strictly cover their heads. Men are allowed to have as many wives and abuse them as much as it satisfies them. It’s even a crime for a girl to go to school. And no one ever protests against all this evil, to prove that it’s not just a select “few terrorists” as we often are told, but that the entire Islamic system is as bad.

Conclusion: this is just an educational article for my Christian brethren. So that none of us will be ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Cor 2:11). With this knowledge, you will be aware of what fellow brethren in Muslim-dominated countries are going through – everyday. Please remember them in your prayers. Pray for your fellow brothers in northern Nigeria whose families have been lost and their homes burnt at the hands of the Islamic Fulani herdsmen. Ultimately, we must pray for the true Gospel to penetrate these areas so that even people in Iraq can be part of the crowd in Revelation 7:9-10, singing glory songs and carrying victory palm branches through our Lord Jesus. Lord help us all.
